3 Principles for Effective Communication Via Blogging

Otoño by Libertinus.

Do you want to learn how to connect with the people you are writing for? Do you want people to not just read what you are saying but also help them into taking action on what you’ve written?! In doing this you can also increase conversion rates for your internet marketing needs, and it can also help when affiliate marketing!

Well it’s easy! There are three easy steps to take onboard to clearly communicate to your readers...

  1. Give a message to the reader
  2. Make the reader care
  3. Make sure there is a way the reader can remember it

This can be applied to many different aspects in life, such as ways to increase your own presentation and communication skills, it can even be used for wall posts on Facebook and sales pages, but for now we are going to apply it to blogging.

So let’s briefly cover all three points!

Give Them a Message

This is probably the principle that most bloggers focus on, we all craft out posts carefully and make sure that we communicate effectively, but it’s the other two principles that we don’t keep in mind which decreases our potential.

Obviously when trying to convey a message we first need to know the message that we are attempting to convey ourselves but also what action we want readers to take at the end of the posts. If we don’t know what we want then it’s going to be hard to try put our readers into action!
Just make the message clear and you will be well on your way

Make Them Care

Motivation comes from caring about something
The more someone cares, the more they are likely to retweet your post to Twitter or leave a comment!
If someone cares, they are more likely to tell someone they know, increasing traffic!
If you are communicating something that a reader doesn’t care about then you may aswell not even bother!

The question buzzing around in your mind is probably, how the hell do we make them care?! Well it’s not that hard really, partly it comes down to showing people how what you are sharing appies to them and how it will make an aspect of their life better. In doing this, it will inspire them to think of what their life could be like when applying what you said, and that motivates them.
Basically, what you are trying to do is get in touch with their feelings, motivations, desires, values, fears and tying them to what you are communicating to them.

Lastly You Need to Give Them a Way to Remember

It’s easy to make a reader read what you are saying, but it is a lot harder to make them go away and actually take action. The biggest part of this three part rule is giving your readers a way to remember what it is you want them to actually do.

Thanks for reading, so why not write the headings of these three steps down so you can relate to it when you next blog?? Increasing the quality of the blog increases traffic to your site. More traffic means more money and I know we all like that!
